Community Arts 

At every meeting we hold a raffle which members generously support and we use the funds to support local initiatives like sponsoring Lichfield Cathedral Chorus to stage a free Christmas concert .Other activities have included  paying a concert pianist to perform to children at Charnwood Primary School – funding  a dance artist to teach children who subsequently performed at the Day of Dance in Beacon Park – supporting a secondary school Shakespeare workshop run by a drama specialist from the Garrick's Youth Theatre programme. Small projects that were greatly appreciated by the recipients.

Our current Programme Secretary worked very hard for several years to sustain this part of our activity and was particularly involved in two projects in Lichfield primary schools. The first has involved collecting art materials, chiefly from members of our society; the other, at Charnwood School, is mentione above.

We currently need a Community Arts Organiser and please contact any committee member if you are interested.
